He’s not afraid to jump into the middle of a dog fight to bring order from chaos.  He runs through brambles, streams, and over rock-faces training his dogs in Search & Rescue techniques, because as Kyle Warren himself will tell you:  “If I can teach my dogs something that can save lives, I can’t think of a better way to spend my time.”

Join Kyle as he takes you into his world of dogs and discover why some people call him the Dog Man of Ulster County, NY, in this home-spun portrait of an American original.

From the director

I made this film not knowing much about dogs or the evolution of dog training.  The inspiration came the day I met Kyle and was taken with his story as a self-made man, dog trainer, willing to take the dogs that others had given up on.   I met human-aggressive dogs and dog-aggressive dogs, show-caliber Scotties and South American wild dogs, and along the way learned a lot about canine behavior.  I was struck most of all by Kyle’s innate ability to understand dogs and their devotion to him in return.  As a filmmaker, that is all I needed to pick up a camera and start shooting.
